Young is a nameless actor who dreams of becoming a big movie star. Then one day, he makes a breakthrough with a film and becomes a star overnight. Dr. Mi-Soo misdiagnoses a patient after she meets the woman's husband, whom she assumes to be abusive. With his wife in grave condition, the man sues the hospital. Kang-Il is a widowed firefighter who overhears the situation and when he attempts to counsel the woman's husband, he is assaulted by him. When Mi-Soo learns about the confrontation, she tries to get Kang-Il to be a character witness for her and realizes that he may also be her true love.

A corrupted customs officer, Choi Ik-hyeon, faces losing his job. Then, his life turns around as he meets ganster Choi Hyeong-bae who has connection with the Yakuza. They quickly form a partnership; Hyeong-bae helps Ik-hyeon set up a business with the money from drug trafficking while Ik-hyeon lobbies for his partner Hyeong-bae. Popular TV anchorwoman & late night radio host Sun-Young prepares to work her final radio program. After this program she will prepare to take her ill daughter to America the following morning. During the radio show Ko Sun-Young receives a startling text message. At Ko Sun-Young’s apartment, her ill daughter is being watched by Sun-Young’s sister Ah-Young. Then, a man named Dong-Su breaks into the apartment with a large wrench. He knocks Ah-Young unconscious, but is unable to locate Sun-Young’s daughter – who is hiding in a closet. Dong-Su then sends the text message to Sun-Young instructing her to follow his directions and not to tell anyone.
