Brian Schodorf is a television and film producer, director, and writer with 19 Regional Emmy Nominations and 6 Regional Emmy Awards. In 2020 Schodorf led all individual media professionals in the Chicago/Midwest markets with 5 Regional Emmy Awards for creating the documentary program, "Chicago at the Crossroad," an exploration into historical housing segregation in Chicago. Of a total of 7 nominations, the feature film won Emmy's for Directing, Writing, Cinematography, Cultural Documentary, and Promotions at the 2020 Chicago/Midwest Emmy Awards. His first documentary, "Poverty in Chicago," aired nationally in 2007 on PBS and The Documentary Channel; the film investigated the homelessness epidemic in downtown Chicago. His second documentary film, Greensburg (2008), the story of a small Kansas town devastated by a tornado was nominated for a Heartland Emmy Award for Best Topical Documentary. Schodorf spearheaded the development of the Video Production Division for the City of Chicago's tourism and marketing arm, Choose Chicago.
