Lance was born in Northam, a small country town in Western Australia's Avon Valley. His childhood home was on a half acre orange orchid where he was the second oldest in a household of six children. Lance has always been very athletic and growing up he played state level field hockey and even played against Heath Ledger. Lance also practiced Taekwondo, Boxing, Kickboxing and played Australian Rules Football, of which his sister Emily now plays for the West Coast Eagles in the AFLW. Although always displaying a natural ability and talent towards performance and creativity Lance didn't begin to pursue this calling until his twenties by which time he was a qualified electrician. Lance has studied at various acting institutes; NIDA in Sydney, Actors Centre in Sydney, The Foundary in Vancouver Canada. Works include; Disney's "Just Role with it" a scripted comedy where actor also have to rely on their improv skills to move the story along, the role of hunky Ryan Shepherd in the STAN Network T.V Series 'The Other Guy', as well the Australian classic sitcom 'Home and Away'. He has previously worked alongside Bryan Brown and Sam Neill in the ABC T.V series 'Old School' as Detective Dillon. Lance was thrilled to be part of the notable Australian Tourism campaign featuring narration by Chris Hemsworth which encourages people to visit his beautiful homeland of Australia. Lance is based and working out of Los Angeles in the United States.

Lance also while deployed to Operation Iraqi Freedom kept strict journals during his 2 back to back tours that is contributing to the writing of his true life story "The Interpreters Infidel" and how he met his wife, a local Iraqi interpreter of Baghdad and their struggle to be together and get her out of Iraq alive avoiding execution and to the United States so they could be married and live a peaceful life together. Lance is very comfortable and relaxed in front of the camera and on sets. He has a very good sense of timing which comes from doing close up camera work. His voice and indeed the characters he can play can be anything from load and cruel to trusting and happy. Lance along with his wide divers Military training to include hand to hand combat, advance firearms/ sniper instructor and tracking skills from the desert to the mountains and the thick heavy forests. He is a well trained fisherman, hunter and survivalist with a combat medical background. While mobilized to Iraq from 2003 thru 2006 he also experienced heavy live fire combat with extreme high risk situations in real life. So he is able to preform many of his own stunts and fight scenes. Lance can play a very wide spectrum of characters, thus adding realism to these type of scenes as required by the director.

Lance's opening night at The Met was on his 7th birthday in the role of "Dolore" in Madama Butterfly. He danced the role of "The Nutcracker Prince" for two years in the New York City Ballet's production of The Nutcracker, performed on Broadway with Abigail Breslin, Jennifer Morrison, Alison Pill, and Mathew Modine, in the Miracle Worker, and appeared on film as "Young Larry" in the Three Stooges Movie, as well as guest starring roles on ABC, CBS, and Disney. A graduate of Yale University, Lance continued to work professionally when his academic scheduled permitted. This included principal roles in The Clovehitch Killer opposite Dylan McDermott and Charlie Plummer, and the role of "Cap Tylenol" in Netflix's Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt. At Yale he was on the Varsity Fencing Team (DI), co-founded the sketch comedy group The Odd Ducks, and served as the artistic director of the Yale Ballet Company. He performed in leading roles on campus including the role of "Bobby" in Stephen Sondheim's Company. Lance trained in the professional division at the School of American Ballet and was a member of the children's chorus at the Metropolitan Opera for six years and during that time performed in eight operas.
