Actress Ryan Bartley was born in the heart of Texas - Fort Worth (Cowtown), Texas and has been working in theater, film, television, and radio since she was a child. After attending the prestigious theater program at Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts, located in Dallas, Texas, Ryan graduated early and relocated from Dallas to Los Angeles. There she began working in anime, video games, and animation. She's also provided additional voices for some of the top performing recent feature films including The Boss Baby, Captain Underpants: The First Epic Movie, Spider-Man: Homecoming, Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, and X-Men: Apocalypse. Ryan is the voice of Young Zeta on Nickelodeon's Shimmer and Shine, the voice of Pupkin Cake and Bunny Bow in the Shopkins franchise, and her on-camera work includes the Lifetime movie Queen Sized, the horror-comedy Halloweed, and the award-winning digital series L.A. Ryan Barton-Grimley, or "RBG" as his colleagues refer to him, was born in Harare, Zimbabwe. For the uninitiated, that's in Africa... Yeah, Africa. Anyway, he and his family moved to the USA in the late 80's. Fresh off the boat, RBG did time at various public and private institutions, finally graduating from UCLA and also... catching the "acting bug." After studying with all the best acting coaches in Hollywood and falling in love with improv at UCB and The Groundlings, RBG won starring roles in the indie feature film TROPIX and too many grad films to mention, as well as, supporting roles in CRIMINAL MINDS and a Fox Movie of the Week titled THE PRICE OF LOVE. Yeah... remember when they made those? Anyway, always seeking new creative outlets, RBG dove headlong into writing and directing, making the internationally acclaimed home invasion thriller... THE TRUTH, starring John Heard, Brendan Sexton III, Erin Cardillo and Daniel Baldwin. Distributed worldwide by Warner Brothers, Netflix, Gravitas and Showtime, THE TRUTH was one of the most pirated films on the Internet in the three weeks preceding its release. Her great-great-grandfather was notable American-born attorney, Sidney Levy Herold (1880-1950) of Ashkenazi Jewish descent from Ellerstadt, Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. He was the first to specialize in oil & gas law in Shreveport, Louisiana, USA including during its historic oil boom years. Ryan has also worked with industry leaders Skydance Media, Columbia Records New York, and Young & Rubicam New York (now VMLY&R of WPP Group, London) as a SAG Principal Performer. Her lead ensemble role in Warfighter (2018) (U.S. theaters 2019, now on Netflix, Variety article 11-6-2019) eventually led to working with director Michael Bay and actress Adria Arjona in a backstory scene for 6 Underground (2019), a current Netflix Top 10 "all-time most viewed original movie" starring Ryan Reynolds. As sometimes happens, Ryan's scene (a SAG Day Performer role) with Arjona (who stars as "FIVE", The Doctor) missed the final cut for this Skydance Media feature due to the film's length. She is best known for starring in Warfighter (2018) as "Ryan", the childhood soulmate of a U.S. Navy SEAL... appearing in 6 of his PTSD nightmares, Ryan's character prominently dies by his side (twice)... a breakout role in this indie feature that's all about its big message of Heroism & Sacrifice. In Warfighter (2018), Ryan's big-screen debut, Ryan played her scenes directly opposite the film's star/writer/director, Jerry G. Angelo (14 times Best Actor/Best Feature festival winner, star & producer of Artik- 2019). Another lead was played by Isaac C. Singleton Jr. ("Boothe" in Deadpool- 2016; and "Bo'sun" in Pirates of the Caribbean- 2003). She was in her first SAG commercial at 6 months old, cast as an infant boy in an Italian commercial for Mulino Bianco biscuits. She began modeling just before age 5 in 2009, when she was chosen as the "Matteo Girl" for the Matteo children's Bambino clothing line made in downtown Los Angeles. She was the sole face of their Bambino line from 2010 - 2017. Then later, as a popular child model, Ryan was featured on sidewalk billboards from Manhattan NYC to Santa Monica CA as the face of the American Apparel Kids line in 2013. During the 2020-22 pandemic, Ryan began experimenting as songwriter/recording artist "Ryan Claire" and is now working on the follow-up to her debut tween-pop original single, Dreamin' a Dream, released worldwide in 2020 at age 15. She can speak in a few popular accents and mimic almost any accent she hears. Ryan became a full member of the Screen Actors Guild (SAG) at 11 months old.
