Vera Cherny was born Vera Chernysheva in the former Soviet Union to Vasilyi, an Army officer, and Lyubov, a teacher. Because of her father's profession, the family moved a lot. The first time they relocated, Vera was less than 2 months old and her parents carried her onto a military truck in an open suitcase instead of a bassinet. She began performing at 3 years old at a local ballet school in Altengrabow, in the former East Germany. At 16, Vera came to the United States on a full scholarship. She continued her undergraduate and graduate studies in the U.S., while acting in regional theatre productions. She graduated with an M.F.A. in Acting from the Actors Studio Drama School in New York City. Vera has recurring guest star credits on "The Americans" (FX, Seasons 3-6); "StartUp" (Sony / Crackle, Seasons 1-2); "Counterpart" (Starz, Season 2). Most recently she's recurred on "Queen of the South" as Oksana Volkova (USA, Seasons 4-5) and on "For All Mankind" as Lenara Catiche (Sony / Apple TV+).

Vera Chok is a writer, actress, singer, artist and lover of language. Of Chinese descent, Chok was born in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia, where she grew up attending the missionary school of Asaunta until moving to the United Kingdom as a teenager and completing her secondary education in Abbots Bromley School in Staffordshire, England. Later she continued her education at Queens College, Oxford where she got her MA in Archaeology & Anthropology. Pursuing her creative side, Chok studied acting at both the Poor School in London and Ecole Philippe Gaulier in Paris. Her desire to learn continues and in October 2013 she started an MA in Writing at the University of East London. Chok's acting roles have included performances in theatre, television, radio and film; from independent spirited performances, large established television dramas, one-woman shows and performances in award-winning shows such as Lucy Kirkwood's play "Chimerica" at the Almeida and Harold Pinter theatres during 2013. In 2010 Chok founded saltpeter, an independent theatre company and has served as producer and co-produced on several successful shows with the company. Away from acting Chok's other creative works include music and writing. She is the lead singer of the band FRIENDS OF FRIENDS (FOF), who released their first single "Your Sappy Song" in March 2014. In 2011 she setup and ran The Brautigan Book Club, an international creative society that uses the work of American Beat writer Richard Brautigan as the starting point for expressive and artistic exploration. Chok's writing consists of pieces which are based in poetry but not restricted by that definition and has been published by Ether Press, Brautigan Free Press and The Rising.

Emmy-nominated editor Vera Drew has lent her diverse expertise as an editor, director and writer to numerous film and television projects over the last decade. Her background as a director and writer influence her editing style as she focuses on story structure and character development in her edits. She's been described as "an editor that thinks like a writer," and has expertly edited dozens of improv based comedies. Vera honed her editing skills at Tim Heidecker and Eric Wareheim's production company Abso Lutely Productions. In 2019, Vera's talent was recognized by the Television Academy with an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Picture Editing For Variety Programming for her work editing Sacha Baron Cohen's Showtime comedy series Who Is America? "Ephraim" is her dad's first name, she decided to use it for her professional name as a sign of his support in her life. Her parents died when she was very young. Vera Nkechi Anenyeonu, actor, Dancer and Choreographer, professional name Vera Ephraim, was born in Edo state of Nigeria but she hails from Anambra state. At a very young age she lost her parents and was raised by her siblings. Already knowing that she wanted to pursue a career in the performing arts, an unusual choice for a girl at that time and place. Although not supported by her family, she sets off for Lagos and joined a renowned dancing company, the African Heritage Ambassadors Dance Company. With them she received her dancing and acting training and went on tour in Europe. Acting and dancing have been a long life passion for Vera. She combined the two professions, founding her own dance company Vera's Danse Hauz, choreographing and staging various pieces. She played supporting roles in Nollywood movies, theatre, commercials and TV series in Nigeria. She also studied theatre in Education combining it with facilitating dance workshops working with inmates and young people in the North-West of of the UK. Since moved to South Africa, Vera has extended her career and featured in top drama series like Generations, Intersextions, Jacobs Cross, 7de Laan, Room 9 and recently in Sink, a movie after the book "Rachel weeping" written and directed by Brett Michael Innes. She also continued to work as a Dancer/Choreographer, putting on stage several pieces. Her special attention goes out to the socially weaker, as she is well aware of the force of expression and the joy that performing can bring. Vera Farmiga is an American actress who has received an Academy Award nomination for her role in Up in the Air (2009) and Primetime Emmy Award nominations for her roles in Bates Motel (2013) and When They See Us (2019). She was born Vera Ann Farmiga, the second of seven children, on August 6, 1973, in Clifton, New Jersey, USA, to Ukrainian parents. She did not speak English until the age of six, and was raised in the Ukrainian Catholic home of her mother, Luba (Spas), a schoolteacher, and her father, Michael Farmiga, a computer systems analyst. Her younger sister is actress Taissa Farmiga, who is 21 years her junior. Young Vera was a shy, nearsighted girl, who played piano and folk danced with a Ukrainian touring company in her teens. In 1991, she graduated from Hunterdon Central Regional High School. Farmiga initially dreamed of becoming an optometrist, but she later changed her mind and studied acting at Syracuse University's School of Performing Arts, graduating in 1995.
